Who we are

Hi, I’m Jasmine Minbashian. I’ve spent more than twenty years learning from and partnering with horses, guided by a commitment to patience, empathy, and respect. I’m a certified therapeutic riding instructor with a background in multiple disciplines, from dressage and jumping to natural horsemanship and trail work.

Dragonfly Farm is our small, family-run place in the Twisp River Valley where people and horses learn side by side. I work alongside a team of experienced horse people and skilled mental health practitioners to offer thoughtful, empowering programs rooted in connection and compassion. The horses who’ve shaped my life — Homer, Ginger, Sparks, Buttons, and now Monalisa — continue to guide my approach with their honesty and wisdom.

My work centers on helping horses and humans bring out the best in each other through clear communication, confidence, and mindful partnership. I especially love supporting women and teens as they grow their skills and find joy in their horsemanship journey.

My Approach: Facilitator, Not Trainer

I don’t personally identify as a “horse trainer” or “instructor.” Instead, I see myself as a coach—someone dedicated to guiding and supporting you as you develop your own skills and confidence. My goal is to help you empower yourself to improve your relationship and communication with your horse.

I’ve learned from local talent, numerous clinicians, and international masters like Pat Parelli, Buck Brannaman, Warwick Schiller, Madison Shambaugh, and Karen Rohlf. I incorporate a versatile toolbox of communication techniques — from traditional pressure and release methods to positive reinforcement (clicker training). My approach encourages horses to become active, willing participants in our interactions, fostering trust and cooperation.

Together, we focus on authentic connection, clear communication, and personal growth—tools that not only enhance your horsemanship but also translate into greater self-awareness, resilience, and leadership in all areas of life. Whether you're just beginning or have been working with horses for years, my role is to facilitate your journey toward a more trusting, joyful partnership with your horse
